Dear Kristin 2015I recorded myself monotonously reading two letters to Kristin Reiman. During the performance I come on stage and listen to this recording through earbuds. I repeat what I hear myself say. There is a 40 seconds break between the two letters.

0 1 2014I speak ZERO ONE ZERO ONE ZERO ONE (1min). This is recorded by recorder 1. The recording is played and I speak again while recording with recorder 2, creating an echo. This is repeated four times. A loop is made until the clear ZERO and ONE are blurred and there is only noise left.

Drinking Coffee 2014I sit in front of the audience at a table with a pot full of coffee, and a cup. I poor coffee in the cup. I drink from it. I put it down and count 5 seconds. I refill, drink, put it down and count. This is repeated for a few minutes. Suddenly I drop the cup (non-accident?). I put it back up, refill, drink, put it down and count. After a few minutes I drop the cup (non-accident?). I walk away.

Artificial Applause 2014An audience enters a reverberant space. They are asked to applaud. After their applause an artificial applause is played - made beforehand by two people clapping in the same space, which is looped in multiple layers. The performance is finishes. The audience applauds.

Pitch 2012
I used short pieces of film which I shot throughout the year. Some images are filmed outside, for example in a forest our at the sea, and some are more experimental where I used light, reflection and overlapping projections. It was a group project with visual artist Lotte De Ryck and two musicians forming Lucid Duo. One of them made an electronic composition which formed the base for the film and a live marimba performance. It was presented during a concert where the film was projected on a large plied plastic screen (Lotte). The two musicians played in front. (video: watch here)
