Dear Kristin: Dear Kristin, a 2015 performance at Integrated Conference, Antwerp — the artist
repeats recorded letters live through earbuds.

Dear Kristin  2015

I recorded myself monotonously reading two letters to Kristin Reiman. During the performance, I enter the stage with earbuds and listen to this recording. I repeat what I hear. There is a 40-second break between the two letters. more...

0 1: Jane Coppin's performance 0 1, Antwerp — a live feedback loop of recorded speech that
                        dissolves into noise.

0 1  2014

I speak ZERO ONE ZERO ONE ZERO ONE (1 min). This is recorded by recorder 1. The recording is played, and I speak again while recording with recorder 2, creating an echo. This is repeated four times. A loop is made until the clear ZERO and ONE are blurred and there is only noise left. more...

Drinking Coffee performance
Drinking Coffee performance detail

Drinking Coffee  2014

I sit in front of an audience at a table with a pot full of coffee and a cup. I pour coffee into the cup. I drink from it. I put it down and count 5 seconds. I refill, drink, put it down, and count. This is repeated for a few minutes. Suddenly, I drop the cup (non-accidentally?). I pick it back up, refill, drink, put it down, and count. After a few minutes, I drop the cup (non-accidentally?). I walk away.

Artificial Applause performance

Artificial Applause  2014

An audience enters a reverberant space. They are asked to applaud. After their applause, an artificial applause is played—made beforehand by two people clapping in the same space, which is looped in multiple layers. The performance is finished. The audience applauds.

Pitch project

Pitch  2013

A montage of short pieces of film set to a digital soundtrack. Some images are filmed outside, in a forest or at the sea. Others are experimental: light, reflection, overlapping projections. The work is part of a group project with Irena Manolova and Tomasz Goliński (Lucid Duo, marimba) and visual artist Lotte De Rydt, who made the screen the film is projected on. It is presented during Sketch The Sound at the Antwerp Conservatory. (watch here)
